PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Gampong Anak is the earliest stage of the Rotary Youth Center, a village to be built by Rotary Club to house orphans and students in Aceh.
Gampong Anak (Children Village) will be able to accommodate 100 orphans and maintain them for 5 years until they are able to secure local support. Each of a typical house is designed to have 2 floor levels where the ground floor is for daily living activities and upper floor is for children’s sleeping quarter. As to comfy with Aceh religious regulations, the sleeping quarters and the bathroom facilities as well are totally separated for boys and girls. They can share the ground floor’s spacious living room.
In the next stages, the Center will be completed with relevant identifiable needs of the students in particular and the community at large such as student dormitories, mosque, medical center, vocational training center and a community library.
