PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Since the beginning we have a crystal propose, "to work with the reality": a working class not specialized, common materials, lack of resources, but a great will to teach, to learn, to play and to socialize. Making the best with the minimal constructive effort.
The project it's a linear volume that allows the optimal solar orientation and the definition of the different spacial functionality: in the exterior, the sport fields, vegetable gardens (that supports the food sustainability of the center in case of a “city blockade”) and the theatrical outdoor space; in the interior, the different class rooms, coffee shop and offices, each of one with a private patio. This volume it's built with a simple concrete structure and with common brick walls. The floor it's in light concrete and the windows are in simple or double glass with a galvanized iron frame. This windows have the right proportion to filter the sun strength and these position to the north makes the interior light more user friendly. The roof have two inclinations, one that simplify the construction method and it's where the solar panels are– for energetic sustainability – the other allows the harvesting of rain water – for ecological sustainability.
