PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
CONCEPT?
The telemedicine center would protect the villagers from fatal diseases. It's like a castle in the Middle Ages, standing on the river terrace overlooking the village in the valley.

OVERVIEW?
In order to cheapen the cost of the construction and to accommodate well with the environment, I choose local materials to compose this building, such as rammed earth, stones and woods. I paved the floor with firm and solid stones and use thick walls to provide a warm interior space. Inside the rammed earth wall is the wooden framework which consolidates the soil walls.

SPACE CONSTITUTION?
Outside the building, I placed two terraces. The terrace in the front provides a spacious outdoor gathering space for the community and the terrace in the back is in charge of the evacuation of the patient who’s in severe illness and need to be treat in an advanced hospital. In the interior, I use light material to divide the building into several small rooms. Each room can be used independently or cooperatively. This makes the telemedicine center more flexible.
