PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This is a low-cost, economic, easy-to-build project of health clinic in Nepal. My aim was to make a simple building which will look like other buildings in a surrounding but a little more modern. Four-storey roof, prayer wheels and archs were inspirations to make a good-looking Nepal building. The whole building is divided into three parts each with similar functions. Some rooms combine two functions. The middle part is playing a role of gathering space for local community which is accessible from two sides of the building. Also construction of the building is divided into three parts (the same as function parts) which will lower the risk of damaging the building in case of landslides. Main entrance is from the north. Communication inside the building is very intuitive and simple. All used material are easy accessible and low-cost. Construction of the roof is made of wood. Roofing is made of stone slate. Mud bricks are used for walls. Surface coating is a mixture of clay, sand and cow manure. Entrance surface coating is made of broken stone, pillars of wood. Slab is used for floor. All informations are shown in a graphical way on pictures above.
