PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The house is situated in a private game reserve in the Sabi Reserve in Mpumalanga. The brief was for an extended family as their holiday house. The house was designed with a communal living space and separate sleeping accommodation, connected via covered walkways. The materials were locally made cement brick and thatch and pole roofing. The shape of the camp was circular, raised in front to prevent animals from wandering in; yet not restricting the view with a fence.
