Comments:
1-Though slab construction costs less, mostly there are crawlspaces.
2-Typical panel heights have been 8'-0"
3-There was considerable discussion about the possibility of attaching part of the sheathing during construction, but it seems as though it is better to have the panels sheathed on-site to avoid too much complication for the volunteer workforce.
4-Consideration should be given to some sort of marking system to allow workers in the field to follow an easy assembly pattern.
5-Both plans should reflect a change to 2 baths
6-All doors should be 3'-0"
Specific comments about reset plan:
1-In sheet 2, there is a possibility for a coat closet along bedroom 2, though mostly coat closets have not been provided in newer HFH plans in Americus.
2-Provide a window in the kitchen
3-In sheet 3, look at relocating entry to allow a more spacious dining room.
4-Optional bedroom is too small, and closets aren't provided for all the rooms yet.
Specific comments about Autumn's plan:
1-The land lot options is a great exhibit to show how this plan can be used in various placement settings.
2-The plan should have a few changes: eliminating the coat closet and adding a window in its place, changing the overall width to 26'-0" (from 24') to allow BR 2 and 3 to be wider than 8'-0", changing to 2 bath, and possibly making the hallway slightly thinner (to allow more space in the bedrooms.)
To do:
1-Joe to share 5 pre-approved Americus plans with team - AFH to confirm this is what was already shared.
2-George and Autumn to provide HFH with revised plans from comments above, along with possible different elevations.
3-Schedule another phone conference to review progress once these are accomplished.
