PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This Medical Facility will be the first to serve the Bayonnais region of Haiti. The population of Bayonnais is approximately 80,000 and is often described as the poorest region in the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Currently, the nearest medical clinic is a 2 day walk - there is no public transportation, and roads are often impassible during the rainy season. The facility will incorporate renewable energy technology and will be designed to be a self contained shelter in the event of natural disaster.
