The EcoHub (Kitty) will be local a 'Centre of Alternative Technology' and 'Transition Culture.' The space will spread energy and ecological literacy at a local level. It will also serve as a hubs for local Transition Movement initiatives. The EcoHub will be centrally located in Town Squares in off-the-grid units (possibly made from an old shipping container) with green energy producing devices and waste management incorporated into the design. It will be fitted with information graphics which explain the new sustainable technologies that will drive a transition in our community. We hope to make the first EcoHub in central square in front of Lambeth Town Hall in Brixton (South London, UK). The EcoHub need to be a visible, accessible and intriguing physical space. We see this project as the first in a series of EcoHubs, which will become spaces which will become the building blocks of new sustainable communities.
