Overviewteamupdatesworkspacecalendarfiles

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The basic idea is not only to create a mobile vehicle which comes and goes and which provides people with necessary health care but introduces a frame for community involvement, creates a platform for intial activities, for transition, for multiplication and creates a(land-) mark to set the change.

The clinic is composed of two elements:

*the permanent wall

*the mobile vehicle

The walls should be created in close collaboration with the respective community using local labor and materials. It consists of several wooden or steel frames attached to a concrete foundation. The frames can be filled with various materials. It should have the same shape at every location, providing a platorm and a starting point for different community purposes during the absence of the vehicle. It is possible to add non-medical offers, such as an intergrated cell phone booth or battery recharging point. Issues such as shading or storage, even stalls can be easily attached.

The clinic
In times of operation as a clinic the wall together with the vehicle will provide additional semi-outdoor spaces for alternating purposes. The capsule of the vehicle has extendable units holding different main functions. Depending on hte prcise operation concept the extended unitis will be in simultaneous or successive use.

The units

Each unit holds one or several functions. The medical unit has space for the examination and treatment of patients, for laboratory facilities and for the storage and cooling of medical supply. The information unit is used for counseling and holds space for the storage of hand out material. The personal unit is the living room of the staff. It contains foldable beds, a small kitchen unit, a dining table and a sanitary unit.
