Round One Jurors | Jury Process | Selection Criteria Kallari Chocolate Factory and Fair Trade Exchange, Baeza, Ecuador Carlos Poso, Director and Co-Founder, Kallari Association SIDAREC Youth Center and Media Lab/Radio Station, Nairobi, Kenya Cameron Diaz Nyaya Telemedicine Center, Sanfebagar, Nepal Chris Elias, Program for Appropriate Technology in Health (PATH) Jury Chair: Cameron Sinclair, Executive Director, Architecture for Humanity Jury Process In Round Two a smaller jury made up of members from Architecture for Humanity, AMD and the client (including end-users) will review the top designs and select finalists and honorable mentions. As soon as the second round is completed we will announce the finalists to the network and make all the entries public. In April Round Three will take place. Interviews will be conducted with each finalist to find out their commitment for implementing the solution and to judge the viability of their scheme. During this month we will also hold a 'People's Choice Award' allowing the general public to pick the entry they prefer. more details on voting on the people's choice will be made available shortly. Jurors will access the submissions via the Open Architecture Network. Jurors will use the competition document, the selection criteria, their own expertise, and information from any questions and answers that arise during the judging process. The firms, partners, and professional associates of the jurors are enjoined from participating in the competition. If a juror is found to be knowingly involved in any material way with a submission, the juror will be replaced at the discretion of the competition organizers. If for some unseen reason a juror has to drop out, a replacement will be found by the competition organizers. If the jury deadlocks, the client will cast the tie-breaking vote. The Jury will take place in three phases. The first takes place from March 17th to the 28th, the second from March 31st to April 9th and the final round in early-mid April. In April there will be an opportunity for public participation in the process for a 'people's choice award'.
We have updated the jury members and a final list will be available on March 28th.
